About Me

Tomek's Journey:

I started doing yoga because I was depressed after my mother died. A friend of mine told me it could help me and it did help me to overcome it. I went to Mysore in India to do yoga with Acharya Venkatesh for tow month. I came back a different person. People ask me what brought me to yoga.

Tomek’s relationship with yoga is not just a practice; it’s a profound journey of self-discovery and transformation. Over 20 years ago, Tomek found solace in Zen Buddhism, seeking refuge from the chaos of modern life. It was during this time that he first encountered the transformative power of meditation, and later, the physical and spiritual practice of yoga.

Driven by a desire for inner peace and personal growth, Tomek embarked on a path of dedicated practice and study. He immersed himself in the teachings of Zen Buddhism, cultivating mindfulness and compassion in every aspect of his life. It was this foundation that led him to explore the practice of yoga, a journey that would ultimately change the course of his life.

Training and Experience:

Tomek’s journey took him to the heart of yoga’s birthplace: Mysore, India. There, he trained in the traditional Hatha yoga tradition at the Atma Vikasa Centre for Yogic Sciences. Under the guidance of esteemed teachers, Tomek delved deep into the ancient practices and philosophies of yoga, gaining a profound understanding of its transformative power.

Armed with this knowledge and experience, Tomek returned to Northern Ireland, where he began sharing his passion for yoga with others. Over the past decade, he has taught yoga in a variety of settings, from gyms and wellness studios to corporate offices and private homes. His classes are known for their inclusive and nurturing environment, where students of all levels can feel supported and empowered on their journey.

Teaching Philosophy:

Tomek’s teaching philosophy is rooted in compassion, mindfulness, and accessibility.
